Background: Habitual abortion is one of the most critical debated reproductive issues which its underlying mechanisms are poorly understood. Aim: To investigate the effect of evidence-based counseling on improving rural patients' information, health behavior and their satisfaction regarding the habitual abortion. Setting: The obstetric and gynaecological inpatient departments and outpatient clinics in Benha university hospital and ministry of health hospital, Qaliubiya governorate. Study Design: A Quasi-experimental (an interventional pre and post-test study). Sample size: 119 patients, five were excluded for participation in the pilot study. Sample type: Purposive sample. Tools: Two tools were used: 1) A structured interviewing questionnaire; 2) Patients’ Satisfaction tool. Results: The result of the present study had revealed a highly significant improvement in total patients’ information, health behavior among the studied subject's pre-intervention compared to four weeks' post-intervention. Additionally, 86.0% of the studied subjects were satisfied with participating in the counseling sessions due to improvement of their mis-conceptual information of health behavior. Conclusion: In essence, the present study concludes that a significant improvement among rural patients' information, health behavior and their satisfaction as a result of their participation in counseling sessions. Recommendations: Generalize the results of this study to all maternity health services all over Egypt.
